Delta’s Portable Bollards Used at a Retail Store After Vehicle Crash
In November of 2022, an SUV crashed through the front windows of a retail store in Massachusetts, about 20 miles south of Boston. One person, a 65-year-old employee of the store, died and 19 others were injured. May 19, 2022 – Delta Scientific, the leading manufacturer of counter-terrorist vehicle control systems used in the United States and internationally, today announced that its DSC550 barrier which will stop a 15,000 pound (66.7 Km) vehicle traveling 50 mph (80 kph) has just met the criteria of the United States Department of State for continuous operations of 1 million cycles. The Open Frame DSC550 was tested from September 2021 through April 2022, outside, exposed to full sunlight and the effects of climatic conditions. Cycle rate on the barrier was three per minute.
