Delta Scientific has performed more than fifty crash tests working with a number of government agencies and crash test facilities, since its inception in 1974.
The data collected over these crash tests has allowed our engineering team to have an intimate understanding of what is needed to stop the force of a full scale vehicle impact. Our robust engineering team is a vital element that sets Delta Scientific apart from our competitors. Our engineers are accustomed to adapting barrier systems to meet real world challenges. Delta Scientific engineers are located here at our manufacturing headquarters in Southern California and they are a part of every barrier project from putting together submittal packages, to offering customer support for barriers that have operated in the field for decades.
Our electrical engineering team is well versed in custom barrier logic. Touch screen and traditional control panels are designed and build specific to each application and our electrical engineers work with the customer from the beginning of the manufacturing process. The Delta Scientific electrical team can adapt barrier power units to meet the demands of extreme climates. Our battery backup systems and built in barrier fail-safes protect barriers against unstable power supply in remote locations around the world. Delta mechanical engineers work with architects, installers, and end users to ensure the barrier systems are going to perform as needed. Shallow Foundation Barricade – DSC550 – Certified M50/P1
Open frame barricade: Widths 10′ to 16′, ASTM F2656-20 M50/P1 certified, shallow 24″ foundation, low maintenance, high performance.
Beam Barricade – TT212EC – K4/L2 Crash Rated
U.S. State Department certified. Stops 15,000 lb vehicle in 20 feet, with 5-foot penetration. Hydraulic and manual options. Patents pending.
Surface Mounted Barricade – DSC1450 – Certification M30
Certified to M30 standards, this surface-mounted barricade comprises four components for quick high-security vehicle access protection.
Wedge Barrier – HD300 – M50/P1 Crash Rated
The HD300 is designed for vehicle access control and is suitable for various high-security environments. The barrier is available with either a fully electric or hydraulic control unit. It will stop a 15,000 pound (66.7 Kg) vehicle traveling 50 mph (80 kpm). Upon impact, the barrier remains in its foundation and the opening stays blocked, providing a multiple hit capability.
Guard Booth – Standard Guard Booths
Delta Scientific provides efficient guard booths for typical applications. We offer our standard guard booth in multiple different sizes to fit most locations. We design them to provide protection from the changing environment and to enhance facility security. Our security booths are pre-wired to National Electric Code standards (125 AMP, 120/240 Volt, 6/12 station, single phase), fully assembled, and ready for service.
