Delta Scientific Receives Commendation from U.S. State Department
For Work with Diplomatic Security Training Center

VALENCIA, CALIF. – March 26, 2002 – For helping the U.S Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Training Center with product demonstrations, continued training support, and joint creation of curricula, the Bureau of Diplomatic Security has commended Delta Scientific.
The acknowledgment to the provider of barriers and bollards to over 160 U.S. embassies and consulates in 130 countries as well as Department of State headquarters reads, “Bureau of Diplomatic Security presents this Certificate of Commendation for outstanding dedication and service to the Diplomatic Security Training Center in curriculum development and instruction certification. Your customer service values and commitment to excellence brings great credit upon your entire staff.”
“Especially since September 11, the need to install anti-terrorist barriers and bollards that will stop unauthorized vehicles from entering our embassies and other Department of State facilities has been critical,” emphasizes David Dickinson, Delta Scientific senior vice president. “However, to assure they provide the force protection desired, it is extremely important that staff understands and knows how to implement and operate them to their full advantage. It has been especially gratifying to see how our people have considered it their duty that those serving our country overseas are afforded the maximum protection.”

The barricades and bollards can be raised or lowered either manually or by remotely controlled precision power systems at will to stop traffic or let it through. Under emergency conditions, they can be raised in as little as a single second.
