Quick Deployment Portable Barrier Solutions
Delta Scientific’s movable vehicular barriers offer crash test-rated performance in a quickly deployed modular setup. You can install them on existing concrete or asphalt pavement, compacted soils, and other compacted hard surfaces. They require no excavation or subsurface preparation. Our portable systems have been used by the Social Security Administration and the U.S. Department of State, amongst others.
Top Crash-Rated Portable Barricades
Towable barricades are robust temporary barrier systems that are ideal for addressing specific threats, such as bomb or terror threats. They also work well for enhancing security at special events. You can use towable security barriers as a more permanent solution by upgrading to the 24v H8050 HPU which allows for more control options and faster speeds.
MP5000 Portable Barrier
We initially built the MP5000 for U.S. Federal Government Force Protection Specialists. Once towed into position, the completely self-contained MP5000 unpacks itself using hydraulics. Supply 120v or 220v power and you can have effective, crash-tested vehicle access control within 25 minutes. MP5000 mobile vehicle barriers are K4 and M40 Certified and available in 12-, 16-, and 20-foot lengths.
DSC1000 Portable Barrier
The DSC1000 uses our “Soft Stop” technology. It is lightweight, towable, and sets up in only 10 minutes. These portable barricades require no foundation or electrical hookup, allowing for maximum portable protection. Our DSC1000 portable security barriers received an ASTM PU40 rating after crash testing confirmed its ability to stop a 5,000-pound vehicle going 40 mph.
DSC1500 Portable Beam Barrier
The DSC1500 is Delta’s portable beam barrier and is lightweight and easily towable. It sets up within 15 minutes. It is crash-tested and M30-certified to stop a 15,000-pound vehicle traveling at 30 mph.
TB100 and TB150 Bollards
Delta’s newer product line of TB100 and TB150 portable bollards also offer M30 and M50 protection with easy setup and maneuverability. They can also be used in conjunction with the MP5000 security barriers to provide M50 protection.

Even the installation method is scrutinized. If they perform successfully, they receive an M rating from the American Society for Testing and Materials.

They can stop a 15,000-pound truck traveling at 30, 40 and 50 MPH with various distances of penetration.

Today’s electric trucks, including the Ford F150 Lightning, Tesla Cybertruck, Rivian R1T, and Chevy Silverado EV, are heavier than standard gas and diesel versions. Additionally, they offer responsive acceleration, which enables them to reach high speeds quickly and in a short distance. That makes them an effective weapon for charging through gates, fences, and crowds.
The New Year’s Day attack in New Orleans involved an F150 Lightning. Despite weighing over 6,000 pounds, the truck quickly reached 60 mph over a short distance, and traveled three blocks before stopping. An M40-rated, temporary crash-tested barrier can stop a similar vehicle within feet, helping to keep crowds safe in situations like this, where permanent bollards had been removed for repairs.
