The Series DSC7035 Drop Arm Beam Barrier System incorporates a unique crash resistant arm that is comprised of a special high strength alloy steel shell. It has been analyzed based upon the data from multiple successful tests conducted on its sister barricade the DSC7000 series.

The DSC7035(H) version of this system is operated remotely by means of an integral Hydraulic Pumping Unit (HPU) that is wholly enclosed in the hinge end enclosure. The HPU can be powered from a local single or three phase power source.

What Is the DSC7035 (H) DROP ARM BEAM BARRIER SYSTEM?

The system consists of a crash beam, bearing assembly, hinge end support buttress and the hydraulic actuator, power unit, locking bolt with padlock provision, mounting hardware and other many other options.

  • ACTUATION. The Drop Arm Barricade is raised and lowered by means of a hydraulic cylinder driven by a Hydraulic Power Unit.
  • CONTROL. The Barricade works with a push from a button mounted either on the Barrier or at the end of a cable umbilical cord.
  • BARRIER HEIGHT. Standing at 33 inches (0,93 M) high, as measured from the roadway surface to the centerline of the crash beam.
  • BARRIER CLEAR OPENING. Standard clear opening shall be 144 in., ranging up to 288 in. as measured inside to inside of the hinge and locking buttress.
  • FINISH. The foundation base of the Barrier shall be asphalt emulsion coated for corrosion protection. Exposed barrier surfaces shall be painted with a gloss white, two-part epoxy high weather resistant paint (or optional galvanized finish).

Configuration Options of the DSC7035

A wide range of options available such as Prime Movers, Control Options, Interface Packages, Sensors, Signal Lights, Safety Provisions etc. is available. These include the following:

  • Hydraulic Power Unit. The DSC7035 is configured to operate two, three, or four Drop Arm Barriers.
  • Remote Location. The HPU for the Drop Arm Beam Barrier can be operated remotely.
  • Battery Powered Hydraulic Power Unit. The BHPU is capable to operate up to 4 Drop Arm Barriers.
  • Control Circuits. The control circuit operates up to four Drop Arm Beam Barrier control stations.
  • Remote Control Panels. The Remote panels are able to operate the Barriers from a single or multiple locations.
  • Weather Resistant HPU Enclosure. Equipped with a lockable weather resistant enclosure, its convenient design allows easy access to the HPU for maintenance and emergency operation of the hydraulic system.

EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION

The design and crash rating of this barricade has been tested by the Delta Scientific engineering department based on full scale crash tests of the DSC7000 series beam barricades.

A nameplate with manufacturer’s name, model number, serial number and year built shall be located at the hinged end structure.

The Barrier shall have a neat and workmanlike appearance.

Dimensions

Principle dimensions shall be checked against drawings and ordering information.

Coatings shall be checked against ordering information and shall be workmanlike in appearance.
