Delta’s MP100 Portable Barrier System Successfully Passes M30/P3 Crash Test 

October 23, 2024 – Delta Scientific, the leading manufacturer of counter-terrorist vehicle control systems used globally, announced their MP100 portable barrier system has successfully achieved a M30/P3 designation. Total penetration was measured at a mere 51-ft, making this an industry leader. The MP100 was tested to the new ASTM F2656-23 standard which measures the penetration level from the leading edge of the barrier versus the back-side of the barrier of the previous standard.

Delta’s DSC501 Stops Unauthorized Vehicle at FBI Building

April 2, 2024 – Delta Scientific, the leading manufacturer of counter-terrorist vehicle control systems used globally, today announced that on Monday, April 1st, a DSC501 High Security Barricade stopped an unauthorized vehicle from entering an FBI field facility in Atlanta, Georgia. According to officials, the orange Buick Encore tried to follow an FBI employee’s car into the facility before being stopped by the Delta DSC501 barrier. The driver was then apprehended by special agents that were in the immediate area.

Delta’s DSC550 ‘Open Frame’ Vehicle Barrier Now Listed on DOD List with Interpolation From 10’ – 16’

Delta Scientific, the leading manufacturer of counter-terrorist vehicle control systems used globally, announced their DSC550 shallow foundation open frame barrier has been successfully listed on the new DOD Anti-Ram Vehicle Barrier list with interpolation between 10’ and 16’.  In order to achieve this designation, Delta had to successfully test both lengths at the same crash rating.  Both the 10’ and 16’ barriers passed the newer ASTM F2656-20 Standard with M50/P1 designation and achieved negative penetration.

May 19, 2022 – Delta Scientific, the leading manufacturer of counter-terrorist vehicle control systems used in the United States and internationally, today announced that its DSC550 barrier which will stop a 15,000 pound (66.7 Km) vehicle traveling 50 mph (80 kph) has just met the criteria of the United States Department of State for continuous operations of 1 million cycles. The Open Frame DSC550 was tested from September 2021 through April 2022, outside, exposed to full sunlight and the effects of climatic conditions. Cycle rate on the barrier was three per minute.

Delta Scientific announces the successful testing of its ASTM F2656-20 M30/P1-certified Model DSC633, a single shallow foundation bollard design that stops and destroys a 15,000 (6.804 kg) pound test truck with -8.82 feet (-2.69 m) of static penetration and -3.63 feet (-1.1 m) of dynamic penetration. The simulated bomb load remained intact and contained on the truck bed. The test vehicle weighed 15,000 pounds (6,804 kg) and was traveling over 30 miles per hour (48 kpm).  The truck was stopped and completely disabled.
