Delta Barriers Protecting Miami Federal Courthouse – Safety Loops Eliminate False Raises
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
VALENCIA, CALIF. – August 18, 2000 – To regulate traffic in and out, provide a safe place to transfer prisoners and for secure underground parking for judges, the Miami Federal Courthouse has installed Delta Scientific’s TW2015 Hydraulic Barricade Systems. Featuring safety loops that prevent false raises, the barriers will not deploy if a car is on or in the way of the barrier.
“Since these barriers are used for access control, this is a great benefit to those who are supposed to be admitted in,” emphasizes Delta Senior Vice President David Dickinson. “If this feature is missing, cars can be damaged and people injured. Nuisance raises also put the system out of commission and create huge maintenance bills.”
Used for intermediate security applications, the Delta TW2015 barricade is crash-rated and installs quickly. It was created especially for difficult implementations such as at parking structure ramps or areas with sub-surface drainage problems. Instead of having to replace the driveway to install a subterranean-mounted unit, the barrier bolts to the existing driveway. The speed at which the barrier deploys can be fully adjusted to the security site and facility requirements.
Similar installations of the Delta TW2015 barrier are at the Wilmington, Del. Federal Courthouse, the New York Police Department, and the GSA and Ronald Reagan buildings in Washington, DC.
