Delta Scientific Rated ‘Outstanding’ By GSA
Leading Manufacturer of Counter-Terrorist Vehicle Control Systems Gets Highest Vendor Rating from Government Services Administration

VALENCIA, CALIF. – December 7, 2005 – Delta Scientific, the leading manufacturer of counter-terrorist vehicle control systems used in the United States and internationally, today announced that it has earned an “Outstanding” vendor rating from the Government Services Administration (GSA). The GSA negotiates formal contracts between vendors and the U.S. government so that any federal agency can directly purchase products and services at pre-negotiated terms and pricing.
Delta has supplied more than $54 million worth of equipment to the federal government via the program.
“Our GSA contract permits U.S. agencies to make direct purchases of Delta’s counter-terrorist products in a timely manner, enabling them to better protect our nation’s infrastructure and U.S. troops overseas,” said Delta Scientific Senior Vice President David Dickinson. “We are pleased to report that, after completing an onsite audit of our business practices and contract management, the GSA has given Delta a rating of Outstanding.”
Vendors in the program are evaluated based on several factors, including on-time delivery of products, living up to warranty terms, compliance with the Trade Agreement Act, compliance with the scope of their contracts, maintaining current approved price lists, and ensuring that prices listed in the GSA Advantage! program match those on the current approved price list.
Delta Scientific met or exceeded the program’s requirements in all categories.
Delta has supplied counter-terrorist barricade systems to over 160 U.S. embassies and consulates in 130-plus countries as well as those of the United Kingdom and other nations. In the United States alone, Delta has secured over 110 Federal buildings, including courthouses and FBI locations. Over 85 percent of all U.S. nuclear power plants are protected by Delta vehicle barricade systems.
