Built for the Data Center Boom: The Fastest Crash Rated Bi-Fold Speed Gate in the World

The demand for perimeter security for data centers has changed fast.
Facilities are getting larger. Vehicle traffic is increasing. Employee parking lots are expanding. Threat levels continue to rise. At the same time, operators cannot afford bottlenecks at entry points.
That challenge drove us to build something the industry had never seen before.
Delta Scientific developed the world’s fastest crash rated bi-fold speed gate with an M30 P1 crash rating and zero penetration. It is currently the only DoD-listed bi-fold speed gate of its kind.
It took dozens and dozens of engineering hours to create this system, and the team at Delta Scientific did a phenomenal job bringing it to life.
This gate was designed specifically for the realities of today’s critical infrastructure environment.
Data centers need perimeter security systems that can stop hostile vehicles while maintaining extremely high throughput rates. Traditional solutions often force operators to choose between security and speed.
We refused to accept that tradeoff.
Our engineering team focused on one goal from the beginning: build a crash rated speed gate that delivers maximum protection without slowing operations down.
The result is a platform capable of protecting critical infrastructure while handling the nonstop flow of vehicles common at major data center campuses.
A system like this protects critical infrastructure while supporting the nation’s rapidly expanding data center boom, where employee parking lots and vehicle access points demand incredibly high throughput rates and constant protection from both vehicle and pedestrian threats.
Designing a crash rated bi-fold gate at this level was not simple.
Bi-fold gates involve multiple hinges, moving parts, and synchronization points. Achieving an M30 P1 rating with a high-speed operating cycle required years of expertise in vehicle barrier systems, structural engineering, and crash dynamics.
The challenge with putting a crash rating on a bi-fold gate comes from the sheer number of moving parts involved.
That is where Delta Scientific’s experience made the difference.
For more than 50 years, Delta Scientific has engineered perimeter security systems for some of the most demanding environments in the world. Our barriers, bollards, gates, and access control systems protect government facilities, military installations, utilities, embassies, transportation hubs, and critical infrastructure sites globally.
No one else has achieved an M30 zero penetration rating on a bi-fold speed gate. Delta Scientific remains the only company capable of delivering this level of crash protection in a high-speed gate platform with this kind of advanced design.
The growth of AI, cloud computing, and hyperscale facilities is accelerating demand for secure data center perimeter security solutions across the country. Operators need systems that can scale with traffic demands while maintaining the highest levels of protection.
That is exactly why this gate exists.
At Delta Scientific, we do not build products to follow industry trends. We engineer solutions for real-world threats and real operational demands.
The fastest crash rated bi-fold speed gate in the world is one more example of that commitment.
And we are just getting started.
